How to Control Pet Hair at Home?

Where is pet hair problem? Everywhere!

Having a pet comes with a huge share of responsibility. It becomes even more complicated when you have a hairy one such as  a golden retriever. With that being said, when it comes to the matter of hair, it’s a never-ending battle at your house. With English cream retriever puppies, you can expect hair everywhere all year round.

Most dogs shed and leave behind their hair, and you can find them everywhere in clothes, on furniture, floor; even the food sometimes. It can become really frustrating to see the strands all over the place every now and then.

Shedding is a perfectly normal occurrence, but it depends upon the breed how many times in a year.  So you need to be prepared to deal with the situation when occurs. You need to vacuum and clean the house twice or thrice a day, when you see hair rolling across the floor.

Here’s how you can control pet hair at home:

•    Keep your pet brushed and cleaned
Giving a regular bath to your dog and keeping him groomed will help you to go a long way
to avoid too much shedding. If your dog has long hair, they may require grooming  frequently. Otherwise, short-haired dogs need brush once or twice a week. Regular brushing will keep loose hair in the brush, not all over the home. This thing will save your time and effort spent on sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming every day.

•    Use slipcovers on the furniture
When you have a pet, it is recommended to cover your furniture with washable slipcovers. This is a great way to save your furniture as nobody wants to sit on a sofa or chair that is full of pet hair. You can replace them with a clean one whenever needed.

•    Train your pet well
There are some specific areas in your home that should be banned from pets such as beds, sofas, or kitchen. It is better to never let them into those places in the first place. Provide comfortable beds and spots to your pet on the floor. Give proper training to your dog from the first day so that it prepares your pet to stay away from your households.

•    Apply shampoo and rinse
According to experts, good quality dog shampoo and hair cream can help to minimize shedding to the max. Most of the people are not aware that body products can make a huge difference in hair removal of dogs. Bathing is a good part of the overall brushing and grooming of your pet.  If the wrong shampoo is used, a skin condition can occur. So, always use good quality shampoo.

•    Cover your pet after a bath
Though it looks crazy, covering your pet right after the bath can keep you away from hair. If your dog wears the t-shirt between cleaning sessions, it will keep the hair on him and away from your belongings.

When you have your adored golden retriever puppy in your home in Kansas City, removing every single hair isn’t possible for you. But to effectively deal with pet hair, you can follow these above-discussed tips and make your home hair-free up to some extent.
